The KUV100 is bold and modern in its design with the headlamp which makes it look promising and rough and gives it the looks of a mini SUV. The Renault Kwid is one of the best-looking cars in its segment. Mahindra KUV100 is priced from Rs. 4.48 lakh to Rs. 6.95 lakh depending on variants and fuel options. The Renault KWID costs Rs. 2.62 lakh to Rs. 3.67 lakh for only petrol variants. The KUV100's top variant features 3.5-inch infotainment system with Mahindra Blue Sense App compatibility, DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), turn indicators on the ORVMs are standard for all variants, steering mounted controls, engine immobilizer and power-eco mode for the diesel variant. Renault KWID, has the MediaNAV system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX inputs, Gear shift indicator and remote keyless entry, and one-touch lane change indicator. The KUV100 sports dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed sensing automatic door locks, automatic hazard warning lamps on panic braking or bonnet opening.
Mahindra KUV100 has 1.5 times more torque than the petrol KWID, providing better drivability. The KUV is also more practical and is better suited to the Indian road conditions, making it better than the KWID. The top-range KWID ‘RXT O' variant ,is priced for 3.95 Lakh (On road, Delhi). KUV’s mid-range ‘K4+’ variant, retails for 5.60 Lakh. KUV ‘K4+’ has safety features, like ABS & Passenger Airbag, while the Kwid ‘RXT O’ offers the Touchscreen Infotainment System. Even though the KUV owns a 400cc smaller engine than the KWID, the KWID has similar performance to the KUV because it is 400 kg lighter than the KUV, that gives it 8% better power. Both cars have weak low-end torque making them a chore to drive in city traffic. The KWID is actually a slightly longer car than the KUV, but the KUV is a much wider and taller than the KWID. The KUV provides better under-thigh support to the occupants than the KWID. KUV also has excellent elbow room to accommodate three full size adults. KWID owns good leg-room in the rear, but lacks in the seat comfort by KUV. KWID has more boot-space of 300 litres compared to 243 litre capacity of the KUV.
