Building a machine is easy but maintaining it throughout is a very difficult job. Car companies initially take a lot of risk when they are on the verge of production of cars. They take a lot of risk regarding the popularity of the car. What if the car is not that famous in the market then the entire production needs to be shut down and this eventually leads to the destruction of the cars already built. There have been many instances when cars like this were discontinued because they were not popular enough to gain attention and hence lacked the sales power. So many cars have become obsolete like this and the companies have discontinued the sale of these cars big time.

The Maruti Suzuki Ritz is one of the cars which has not been able to sell off as many units as it should have but it was still able to be sold of by one or two units in the year of 2016. And this car is supposedly going to be discontinued in 2017. The cars of Tata motors like the Sumo Grande, Vista, Manza, will be discontinued due to low sale and popularity. The Tata Movus, Ford Classic, Ford Figo Aspire, Tata Bolt are some of the cars which will not be continued anymore by the company. The companies are completely shutting down these models as the rate of sale of these models has not gone up since the time of their production and launch. These cars will no longer be seen in the market and you can only get your hands on these cars by resale that is if anybody is interested in selling the car or not.
The discontinuation of these cars is not a big deal and it will not affect the market and sale value of the company as the popularity of these cars is not that much and they have not been able to sell off many units too. The discontinued cars will be broken off to build better models which will hopefully have better sale revenue for the company.
There are various reasons of the car being discontinued. These cars have not been able to run in the market for a long time. But why these particular cars did became obsolete in terms of sale. The fuel efficiency of these cars is not that up to date and slowly and silently many other technological advancement of other cars have killed these particular models in the market. so if you already have one of these cars at your home it is best advised that you sell it off to another party as the popularity of these cars will no longer be in the market and you will end up with a machine that will no longer have the benefit of any service from the company or the service center., many issue like getting original parts of the cars for repairs and other facts will also be a problem slowly and gradually in the upcoming year.
